**Update JUST for Pam Yardley**

My mom had an EXCITING experience this last weekned. She ran into John and Pam Yardley!!! Pam let her know I needed to update my blog and that's when I realized I am being a MAJOR slacker......not a whole lot is going on but here's a little update Pam and I PROMISE TO do better :)

I work all day and go to school at nights.....I always forget to take pictures but here are a couple of pictures of some of the stuff I've done! Its been LOTS of FUN!!

NO pictures of Lane but her is such a STUD! He goes to school all day and works at nights its hard cause we don't see each other very much but we make sure to have lunch together every day! He's been so great at letting me practice my polishing on him! Maybe one day I'll be lucky and get a picure of his pretty nails!!

My sister Chelsie's team took state in Volleyball over Halloween weekend! It was very exciting and a great way to end her senior year which is a whole other story....its just WEIRD she's a senior and going to college next year! But its going to be SO fun to have her and TYLER will be home by then and hopefully go to school at SUU Can't WAIT! They played Piute for the championship and WON! I had school so wasn't able to go :( but Chels you rocked and I want to tell ya I love ya and am proud of ya I'll be there for basketball!!

So I haven't updated for quite a while.....I guess cause not a whole lot is new! The archery hunt came an went and NO elk or deer for Lane......He is busy with work and school so we don't see much of each other :( He starts class at 8:00 a.m. and has a lunch break at 2:00 p.m. so I try to take my lunch then. He then works from 4-10:30 p.m. so not much me time......but I just keep telling myself this school will eventually pay off!! I have just started nail school after work from 5:30-9:30 p.m. so now I'm not home alone all night!! I LOVE nail school its SO FUN and I'm learning lots!! I'm so happy that the wind is gone......and I LOVED conference I swear there is ALWAYS talks that are just for me and the things that are happening in my life...... I'm sure we all feel like that! I guess other then that I'm getting REALLY excited for the HOLIDAYS that are just around the corner!! Hope everyone is doing good :)

I would just like to take a moment to defend hunting really quick by making a few points:

1. A purse will never fill your belly when you are hungry; neither will diamonds, flowers, or clothes, so hunting actually serves a practical purpose.

2. I only need to buy most archery equipment once; flowers die, clothes go out of style, perfumes run out, and diamonds are never big enough.

3. The cost of a hunting tag is equal to one trip to a haircare, nail-doer, expensive shampoo & conditioner salon...............And it's a yearly tag, not a monthly cost.

4. I'm doing a service to my country by helping them maintain Elk and Deer populations so they don't die horrible deaths from starvation. Poor animals! Who will help the animals? I will.

5. We men have to put up with wives, God has rewarded us with hunting for tolerating such punishment.

6. Hunting is really just practice for shopping with our wives...........You have to be patient, you have to go wherever they go, and the sooner you can end it the better.

7. I'm from Monroe, UT. That's it.........I'm from Monroe, UT what else am I gonna do?

8. The money we men paid on that pretty diamond ring was a bribe, why can't they follow through on their part of the deal?

9. I spent a whole bunch of money to make the house 'pretty'. I want to have a beard, roll around in the dirt, and kill the biggest animal I can lay eyes on. . . . . . who's really spending money?

10. One day the world is going to come to an end, just before it does though we'll still be alive because I'll be able to put food in our belly.

Some people think that hunting is selfish, barbaric, and wastes money. But really it's the only humane thing we could do for these animals, it has to be barbaric so we can survive when the world is ending, and it's an investment into the future, not wastefull. Man's definition of hunting: It is your Top priority (they say after my wife of course......), ALWAYS using their animal calls.......becomes VERY obsessed in the "sport", the only time they can wake up EARLY in the morning, can NEVER spend TOO much money on hunting supplies "if I buy it now we won't have to ever buy it again" LOL!, ALWAYS wants to watch hunting movies, or read hunting books....., plans "dates" to go on a hike in the mountains with your wife THEN it gradually turns into looking for deer/elk.

Woman's definition of hunting: WASTE of money, HATES the sound of the annoying animal calls, when she finally buys her husband something to do with hunting it just starts a huge fire because he now NEEDS something that goes with that item......, she HATES being quiet while on the "hike" cause it will scare the deer......, Did I mention its EXPENSIVE.

Lane has been going up Cedar mountain EVERY day it feels like scouting for elk and deer, shooting his bow like crazy, watching all the hunting videos a man could dream of, using his elk call everywhere we go.....AH!! I'm NOT a die hard hunter if any of you haven't figured that out but I DO love my husband and I know that he LOVES hunting. So this weekend I was very patient I went out with him to shoot his bow TWICE I even gave him my inputs if he was on or off the target. It was an enjoyable time cause he let me talk.....haha I think that's the HARDEST part about hunting, is NO talking cause you'll scare deer I LOVE to talk. Anyways I know there are MANY MANY MANY things that I love to do (Shopping is one of them) and Lane ALWAYS goes with me, or he'll be at the end of my marathon supporting me even though he hates to run!! I even got him to run a 1/2 marathon with me and he didn't really enjoy that.....but he knew I REALLY wanted him to do it with me!! Men and women are so different its funny how we can deal with the things we don't really like that the other one LOVES.......because we love the other person so much! Lane's hunt is this weekend deer and elk I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK BABE AND I LOVE YA!!

Happy Birthday Baby the BIG 26!! Lane was born on 7/27/1983 at like 11:45ish.......when he was in the guard they were asking him for his DOB and of course he said 7/27/83 they told him that was wrong and they'd have to send for his birth certificate WEIRD! Anyways when they got the certificate & when Lane was born the nurse just rounded up to 7/28/83 and his family didn't even know.....When he told me this story when we were dating I was like UG that sucks....now I like to take advantage of it so he has TWO birthday's!!! So yesterday it was just ME and HIM time tonight my family is coming over to have dinner with him! Love ya babe hope you have a wonderful TWO day BIRTHDAY!! ;)

Sorry about all the pictures......Saturday July 18th Lane and I celebrated our ONE year anniversary!! A year ago we got married in the Salt Lake temple it was the BEST day of our life!! I remember when we first got engaged thinking that this day would never come now its already been a year I can't believe it! I'm so lucky to have found Lane, he is my BEST FRIEND!!

July 19th we had our reception in Panguitch in my parents backyard. It was such a HOT day until about 15 minuets before the reception started.....then it started POURING.....luckily my parents garage was cleaned so we moved it in there for a while until it stopped raining. We got to go back outside for about another hour, then our DJ suggested that we take our dance in case it rained again. Lane and I started dancing and sure enough it started raining but NO stress we finished it with an umbrella!!!

We went to Salt Lake Wed-Sun it was like a SECOND honeymoon we felt SO in love and it was so fun being together every single minuet! I think Lane got our anniversary and Christmas mixed up I definetly got SPOILED!! Lane busted out a diamond necklace, Juicy Couture perfume set, an outfit, & a camelbak for moutain biking. And I gave him a range finder and some arrows. On our way up we stopped at Ken Garf to see Lane's Uncle Wayne and he helped us buy a car!! We LOVE it thanks Wayne!! Thursday we went to Lagoon it was so hot but no worries we wore our swimming suites and did plenty in the water! That night we went to my friend Brittney's house and had a YUMMY BBQ! It was fun hanging out with her and her friend James. Friday we went shopping IKEA, Cabela's, and the MALL! Then we had dinner at Rodizio's YUM! That night was the George Strait concert, it was an awesome concert LOVE GEORGE! Saturday we doubled with our friends Tyler and Heidi Jewkes they are so cute we just love them to death! My mom froze our wedding cake from a YEAR ago so that night Lane and I cut it....haha it was SO gross the icing felt like rubber but it made for a cute pic! Sunday we had to head home.....the worst part. We made a pit stop in South Sevier to see Lane's family it was sure good to see all of them!!

One year down and MANY more to go and I'm so excited I LOVE being married!! I'm so glad that I get to be with this man for eternity he is definetly my other half! I mean he knows me better than I know myself!!! I love everything about him and honestly I fall more and more in love with him each and every day! He has an awesome testimony and is such a great example to me, its so nice having the priesthood in our home! Babe thanks for the wonderful week in Salt Lake I had so much fun and thanks for being the man you are I LOVE you SO MUCH!! :)
